Fire Safety has been in the news constantly since the terrible tragedy at Grenfell. ‘How could that happen?’ Is the question that is being asked time and time again. Alarmingly though so many building owners and occupiers are still ignoring their responsibilities regarding fire safety. The simple facts are fire compartments in buildings save lives, fire compartments will not do their job if they have holes in them and fire foam is not the answer to everything.
Trustland Construction carry out fire compartment surveys, fire compartment remediation work, fire door installations and fire door repairs for our clients who require work to be carried out to the highest standards with 3rd Party Accreditation. Our clients operate in the nuclear, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, leisure and food manufacturing industries. All of our fire door and compartment repair work is carried out by fully trained personnel and audited by BM Trada/Exova. Furthermore, all of our partitioning and board protection to the steelwork is audited by FIRAS. The service that we offer is professional, offers excellent value and is carried out in a timely manner in buildings that include offices, laboratories, production areas and even listed buildings like the Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
We also work with mechanical and electrical contractors to repair compartments breached by service penetrations. Our operatives carry CSCS cards, EMSS cards and industry specific safety qualifications as well as having security clearance for nuclear and defence sites. In addition, for larger projects, all of our supervisors have SSSTS and managers have SMSTS training. We specialise in problematic access environments with rope access trained installers and with most of our operatives holding PASMA and MEWP training certificates. Finally, we also work with fire consultants and drone operators so can offer a full advisory service as well as remediation works.
